Enjoying a couple Rainiers on Rainier

Rainier

On June 11, a couple buddies and I made our annual (or at least we like to say annual) trip up to Paradise Lodge at Mt Rainier National Park. We started our ascent to Camp Muir and half way up decided that a picnic with a couple tall cans of Rainier would be more ideal then the 2 more hours we had ahead of us. It’s a great hike and ride but due to the hot summer the window for decent skiing is quickly closing.

 steve

When Steve was born 28 years ago today, his bones were not fully developed. (Gross.) After the initial shock and horror passed, his older brother Dave eventually learned to love him and even supported his limp body for a photo.

As Steve’s bones hardened, his heart softened and his affinity for snowsports deepened. The only thing Steve loves more than a smothery hug is red meat, and the only thing Steve loves more than barbecuing red meat is hucking cliffs and shredding massive amounts of superfreshiegnargnarpowpow. He goes big. Sometimes too big. But even when he overshoots the landing by 60 feet or more, he still loves it.
