Only about 9 days left before Entrepreneur Mag picks their Entrepreneur of the Year. Rick Alden is the only action sports candidate in the final running and he is about 500 votes behind. Help Rick win by clicking on the image and voting. Check out the latest designs from Skullcandy here.
evo will be hosting a kick off party for all the attendees of this years P.C.C.C. to raise awareness and provide insight into the amazing journey the group is about to embark on. We invite you and all your friends, snow sport enthusiasts or not, to join us for a beer in celebration of 3 amazing individuals and the crew riding their bikes from Seattle to San Diego raising money and awareness for their funds. This special happy hour will be held prior to the MSP movie In Deep playing at the King Kat Theater later that night where the celebration will continue.
On the 17th, Seattle Greendrinks together with Lazy River Winery (a personal favorite) and Theo Chocolates hosted a casual event in the evo art gallery, TimesInfinity, with the band Slow Skate providing music. Gabriel and Nur from Seattle Greendrinks pulled together a fantastic marriage of quality chocolate, wine, art, music and people. For all of you (i.e., all of us) with an interest in sustainability, climate change and renewable energy, Greendrinks (http://tinyurl.com/5jcxa6) is a great way to get your foot in the door and figure out what you can do to get involved.

Thursday, September 17, 2009 – The boys at Absinthe came to town with two goals in mind: to create some good ol’ snowboard stoke amidst the lingering summer swelter, and to raise awareness and support for environmental non-profits targeted at preventing global climate change. And it’s safe to say that from the opening scene to the last shot on screen, Absinthe’s “Neverland” delivered on both fronts in a big way.
Check out Josh Madsen’s latest creation “The Freeheel Life” as it premieres @ Nectar Lounge in Fremont, right down the street from evo! The show is on October 17th @ 5:30pm and its Happy Hour!!!!
Josh Madsen is no new comer to the Telemark scene. He has been involved in the industry for over eight years building an impressive resume as an athlete, filmmaker, and youth program organizer. He has appeared in movies as an athlete himself including Warren Miller’s “Higher Ground” and several Telemark movies including releases by Powderwhores and his own previous company Lipstick Films.
“The Freeheel Life” creates a visual montage of shots ranging from the first descents of Austrian couloirs by World Tele Champion, Dylan Crossman, to the two-lane roads of New England. The movie features athletes, skiing styles, and music sure to strike a familiar chord with freeheel skiers from around the world. It visually represents the full spectrum of everything from jumping to steep descents, and plenty of overhead powder!

Also showing is the first film from up and coming YKWII featuring local shreds Seth Kitzke, Yudo Karita and evo team member Austen Sweetin. Get there early before all that is left is aisle and floorspace.
