We’re a little past the half way point in our season around here and it’s probably about time to check those bases and edges to see what kind of shape they are really in. The service shop here in Fremont would like to offer a special discount for all you season pass holders.  Bring your skis or board in, show us you pass and we will knock 20% off the cost of all tunes if brought in by the end of the month.  On top of that we will have it ready for you by closing time the following day. Sound good?  It’s simple no special codes, no need to print this off, just come on by and show them your season pass, that’s it that’s all! Our seasoned service shop staff offer a full menu of services from full-on edge repair/replacements to a simple hot iron wax.

Mt Baker Legendary Banked Slalom turns a quarter century this year

El Niño literally rained on the parade last time he visited us here in the NW by canceling the Legendary Banked Slalom in 2005.  This year El Niño, which roughly translates to “The Niño” or at least according to the late Chris Farley it does, was a little more gracious and allowed the the twisty, rut infested course down the natural halfpipe and Nose Dive to be run for it’s 25th time. No doubt Oregon resident, evo family member and all around great guy Eric Pollard is easily one of the most recognizable athlete/artists in the biz today.  His works have been featured throughout the ski industry from signature skis to magazine covers to building a film company, Nimbus Independent with his wife and closest friends.  Eric has been a veteran of the ski industry for nearly 10 years now.  He is credited to have one of the best styles in skiing still to this day and whether skiing has inspired art or art inspired skiing Eric is and will continue to be in the spotlight of both.  Check it out for yourself, his newly updated site ericpollarddesign.com features concept artwork, Line skis graphics both new and old, his custom painted surfboards and some extremely beautiful oil on canvas pieces, some of which are on sale here at evo.
