Get first-hand info from the people who work with ski and snowboard product every day, but still manage to ride more than the rest of us.

This weeks Staff Pick comes from Jacob down at the distribution center (DC). He’s one of the guys making sure all your online orders gets out on time and correctly. His fastest boxing time is 1.24 seconds and is a demon with a tape gun. You might see Jacob riding at Alpental this year, he’ll be the one wearing all this stuff:
Gnu Altered Genetics $649: “I like this deck because its a one-board quiver wide enough for pow but also bombproof for anything you can throw at it. A gang of pop from it’s namesake: genetically engineered three wood core. The C2 is the best of camber n’ rocker, magne-traction for making icy northwest days more manageable and fun , bombproof sidewalls and it’s made in Ameeerica!”

Ride Alpha MVMNT $269.95: “Generally I don’t trust bindings, it seems like they are always falling apart at the worst of times, but these Ride’s look pretty honest. No b.s., just a great toe strap, nice and comfy fit, and most importantly in my book: solid, tight-fitting Ride hardwear!”
Vans Matlock $199: “I dig this boot because you get the classic stripe, not to stiff, boa which means no lacing in the cold with cold hands and the velcro strap is just steezy!”
“I like the Special Blend Choice Jacket $299.95 and Special Blend Mark Pants $279.95 combo because they are both Gore-tex great for staying dry in northwest precipitation, as well as durable taped seam zippers, lots of pockets, and they snap together to keep the snow outta your coat!”

Dragon Jamie Lynn Goggles $110: “These are throwbacks. Ever seen the pic of Jeff Anderson rockin these as a grom? The green lens is perfect for all our less-than-sunny days, and on top of all that you get some Lynn art on your gogs.”
There you have it. Jacob picked out some pretty good stuff there. As always you can find all this and more on evo.com or at evo Seattle.
