Up in Seattle, we love the summer. Our lack of sunny days makes us really appreciate the sun when it is out and we make the most of it. Some of the best things about the summer are getting outside, getting some sun, and most importantly: updating your wardrobe. We carry a lot of good stuff on evo.com and at evo Seattle, and being so close to the store makes it impossible to not day dream about doing a complete fashion makeover shopping spree after payday. Summer Dreaming Staff Picks is the place where we can put together our summer wish lists and show all of you what we are most excited about this summer.
Our first Summer Dreaming pick comes from one of evo’s self-proclaimed fashionistas, Maggie. She is one of the people who write all the witty product descriptions on our website, so she sees pretty much everything on the site as it comes through her inbox. Maggie also has some pretty good style, so we pay a lot of attention to her choices.
I love this dress because I feel like I could wear it all summer long to any occasion, whether it be a wedding, a bbq, to the beach or even to work (with a sweater of course).
Quiksilver Sea Stripe Tunic Top
It’s not summer if you aren’t wearing nautical stripes, plain and simple. This shirt is great, especially here in the Northwest, because it can be worn in the day with shorts (bike riding of course) or with jeans at night. Either way you choose to wear it you won’t overheat or get too cold. Also I love stripes, so I gotta have this one.
The perfect kick around shoe for summer because they look like a cross between my Keds and Vans, but are made this crazy material that is lightweight, washable and odor resistant. I can just picture myself riding my bike to Golden Gardens, walking in the sand and surf, then wearing them out in Ballard that night without having to change shoes the whole day
Element Coraline Pullover Hoodie
K, this may look like just a plain hoodie, but I’ve tried it on and it is unbelievably soft and wonderful! Also it is slimmer so you don’t look like a big goof when you wear it out in public.
The Smith Chemist Sunglasses are some of the snazziest sunglasses I’ve seen in a while. Not because they are full of studded diamonds and gigantic rims, no because they have a super subtle and cool silhouette that looks good no matter what. Yeah, I caught the crazy train with sunglasses back in the day too, but I’ve decided it’s time get a little bit classier with the Chemist. (Mom, please buy them for me!)
Ronix Quarter ’til Midnight Wakeboard and Halo Boots
Could this wakeboard be my next excuse to get to some water and bask in sunshine and surf? I think so! I have to admit the first thing that attracted me to the Quarter Til’ Midnight Wakeboard was the graphics, it looks like Andy Warhol meets Purple Lady Gaga, but apparently this board has been designed by some of the grandfathers of wakeboarding. They have made this board smoother, lighter and softer in the landings; what more could we want ladies?
Hope you enjoyed Maggie’s picks. She’s got some pretty cute things picked out. Be sure to check back next week for another Summer Dreaming Staff Pick. As always, you can find all of Maggie’s picks, plus much more on evo.com or at evo Seattle.
