Team Update: Jamie Baril and Erik Stai's Family Vacation
Being a kid during summer break was the best! No school, no homework…nothing to do but to hang out with your friends and have fun. A couple of our evo ski team riders, Jamie Baril and Erik Stai, know how to have fun over the summer. They and their friends put together this video chronicling the last two weeks of their summer vacation which include a trip to Timberline, BBQ’ing, camping, and bridge jumping. Video by Abe Krieger. Helly Hansen and MSP Present the "Attack of La Nina" Seattle Premier 10/5
La Nina’s back and you’re gonna be in trouble! Some parts of the country got hammered by La Nina last year, and others didn’t really. This is a ski movie about the places who did get dumped on. If you didn’t hear, this year is supposed to be another La Nina year. Come celebrate global weather patterns at the King Cat Theater on Wednesday October 5th.

The Cooldown: A NW Ski Resort Preview with Crystal Mountain
The fall is the most anticipatory time of year for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. We know it hasn’t snowed yet and we know it’s still 80 degrees in the city…but we can’t help but start checking out our favorite ski resort websites and looking at their webcams. If we haven’t already, we are deciding where to get a season pass to. With so many excellent resorts in the NW and greater area, we are going to give you some highlights of our favorite ski areas, share some insider tips, and let you know what’s new for the coming season.
If you live in Washington, then you have probably heard of Crystal Mountain. With some of the craziest terrain and best snow in the state, Crystal should definitely be on your seasonal list, if not your seasonal-pass list. We got a chance to catch up with Justus from Crystal Mountain Marketing to get the latest scoop on the new Mt. Rainier Gondola and how landslides can re-groom runs without permission, check it out below.
LINE Traveling Circus 4.1 Summer Van-cation
Usually when you think of a traveling circus, nothing positive, let alone entertaining, comes to mind. Luckily that is not the case for LINE Skis Traveling Circus “Summer Van-cation“. Even though there are very few windows in their van, it’s safe to say that that you’d be in good company and fortunately the only clowns featured are these guys. Check out the video and photos from their adventure below and always remember to stay off the salt flats.
out of office: POW Gloves HQ Tour
Nestled in the industrial district of Ballard in Seattle lies the offices of POW Gloves. From there they manage their territory across the vast expanses of North America, into the steppes of Europe, and beyond. Conveniently located above a custom embroidery shop, it’s no wonder POW office employees have some of the best decorated denim back pockets. Aside from that, they have been designing gloves out of their unassuming office, working on partnerships with GORE TEX, and dealing in international business. We had a chance to visit the POW office lately and catch up with our friends over there.

The Cooldown: A NW Ski Resort Preview with Stevens Pass
Late-summer and early-fall is an interesting time for skier and snowboarders. It could be 70+ degrees, but if it is overcast or rainy, you will for sure see someone either wearing a beanie or busting out their new ski/board jacket. We religiously check and re-check ski resort webcams for even the slightest trace of early snowfall. Daily, we look at the long-range forecast and read the Farmer’s Almanac to get hints on the upcoming winter. We know it sounds crazy, but we are crazy-excited!
We got a chance to catch up with Nate from the Stevens Pass “marketing dudes” squad and pick up some tips about buying season passes, where the best (and only) bar in Skykomish is, and hear about their upcoming mountain bike park which will be opening in October.
