2013 4FRNT Hoji Skis & 4FRNT Adrenalin AT Ski Binding
Eric Hjorleifson (he really like when you pronounce the “j” in Eric’s last name) spends a lot of time on his skis, and over the past few years he has spent just as much time developing and testing the 4FRNT EHP and 4FRNT Renegade. The 4FRNT Hoji is a direct result of how well the Renegade turned out and the direction Eric’s skiing has gone. That direction is a combination of uphill and downhill, and that is where the Hoji shines. With the same Reflect rocker and sidecut technology as the Renegade, built onto a slightly narrower chasis, the Hoji is the ultimate touring tool that sacrifices nothing on the way down.
Reflect Technology
Dreamed up By Eric Hjorleifson and currently only being used on the 4FRNT Renegade, Reflect Technology has changed the way rocker and sidecut work together. With Reflect Technology the rocker radius is matched with the sidecut radius for precise, predictable carving in all conditions. It eliminates tip hook and allows you to engage the entire length of the edge while providing float and pivotability. As far as big skis go, it’s the smoothest of smooth.
Hoji Dimensions
-195cm: 132/112/122mm (30m), 5.4 lbs (2.4 kg)
-187cm: 130/112/121mm, (30m), 4.9 lbs (2.2 kg)
-179cm: 128/112/120mm, (30m), 4.6 lbs (2.1 kg)
4FRNT Adrenalin AT Ski Binding

To complement the Hoji Skis, 4FRNT is introducing its new touring binding, the 4FRNT Adrenalin AT Ski Binding. Competing with the other 16 DIN tour bindings that downhill ski companies are putting out for next year, the Adrenaline is compatible with both touring and alpine boots, has a low and wide stance, and has the ability to switch to skiing mode without having to get out of the binding. Combine the Hoji with the Adrenaline for unparalleled uphill performance without compromising the downhill confidence you need to go big, ‘cause after-all, that’s why you hiked all the way out there.
Throw in the new, well-named 4FRNT Evo Pre-cut Skins or Tour square skins and the new 4FRNT Slog Adjustable Ski Poles for the full AT setup. The Evo Pre-cut Skins are custom cut for the Hoji and Renegade, so you can take your 4FRNT Hoji’s out and beyond just like Eric.

Line Skis Mr. Pollard’s Opus 2013
Straight out of the PNW, Line Skis is just down the street from evo and Eric Pollard is one of our favorite skiers (he is on the evo team too!); he has been pushing the limits (limits? what limits? we say) of backcountry freestyle skiing and ski design for a decade. Naturally the Line Mr. Pollard’s Opus Skis are one of our favorites at evo and truly one of Eric’s biggest masterpieces yet.

Oakley x Gore-Tex Great Ascent Jacket and Pants 2013
With all the hype of the Sethmo collection last year and the addition of Gore-Tex to their technical outerwear line Jake Blauvelt’s signature pieces quietly flew under the radar. Jake and Oakley return for 12/13 with some brighter colors sure to get some recognition and everything else you have come to expect from a technical 3 Layer piece in his Great Ascent jacket and pants. The two pieces are made with Gore-Tex’s Performance laminate to help keep you dry while keeping the cost reasonable and also adding durability to the garments. Unlike Seth’s minimalist pieces you will find Oakley’s Loose Fit for increased mobility, a goggle pocket and my favorite feature, critically placed fleece to keep you warmer while riding everything from the freezing East Coast where Jake grew up to wet Northwest he now calls home. Look for Jake in his web series Naturally on http://jakeblauvelt.com/
Check out some other 2013 Oakley Jackets and Oakley Pants: Tanner Hall Pro Rider Series, Jake Blauvelt Gore-Tex, Seth Morrison Sethmo Kits:

Never Summer Cobra Snowboard 2013
Caution, don’t get bit but this Cobra. For 2013 Never Summer is dropping what should be another straight banger hit; the Never Summer Cobra Snowboard. Driven off the success of this year’s super popular Proto CT, the carbonium Cobra is a more directional all-mountain board with a similar blunt-nose shape and the always favored flex of the SL. With the ability to dig trenches like the Raptor and still bust half cabs and carve switch like the Evo, the new Cobra is a true Swiss army knife of boards.
The Never Summer riders put in their 2 cents and got a new board that not only makes sense, it makes dollars. This past season Never Summer brought you the Proto CT, a true twin, softer version of the best-seller SL board. Taking the same blunted modern shape as the Proto CT, but with a flex and pop more similar to the SL, the Cobra is all-mountain board that still dominates the park. The blunted ends make for a shorter rider with reduced swing weight. The nose is drawn out to knife through soft snow, while the blunted quick spade tail enhances float in pow.
The Cobra is designed to dominate the entire mountain over, putting it in the park/freestyle/freeride/big-mountain category (a.k.a. everything). This board is slightly setback for a more directional ride, without sacrificing switch-riding. Dual top and bottom carbon matrix provides incredible underfoot power. Throw in Never Summer’s Rocker & Camber Technology, Vario Power Grip Sidecut, and 3 year warranty, and you have one of the highest performance and most versatile all-mountain boards ever made.

Cobra Dimensions
-153cm: 288/244/288mm (7.45m vario*)
-155cm: 295/251/295mm (7.55m vario*)
-158cm: 298/253/298mm (7.55m vario*)
-161cm: 301/255/301mm (7.70m vario*)
-164cm: 303/255/303mm (7.90m vario*)
Cobra X Wide Dimensions
-159cm: 310/264/310mm (7.55m vario*)
-161cm: 311/265/311mm (7.70m vario*)
-163cm: 316/269/316mm (7.90m vario*)
*Multiple radius average – Vario Power Grip Sidecut varies from deep to shallow to straight.

Burton Bootlegger Bindings 2013
Here’s one for the jibbers. The Burton Bootlegger Binding, which will be available at the evo store in Seattle, is a super soft little number that is the ultimate flexy machine. You’ll be styling out grabs, butters, and presses like never before. Don’t’ be alarmed if you come home to a room full of your closest friends and family; they’re just concerned with how tweaked out you’ve been getting lately.
The standout feature of the Bootlegger is the hi-back; the Single-Component Gumbo Hi-Back is made of pliable materials, maintaining its soft flex no matter the temperature outside. That’s right, no more bailing on the rails because your binding can’t hang on the cold days.
With a super playful Single-Component Bomb-Proof Polycarbonate Re:Flex™ baseplate underfoot you’ll dramatically increase your board feel while lightening your load at the same time.
But wait, there’s more! See that gigantic ratchet on the toe strap? Oh yes, that baby will have you hooked on the Bootlegger Bindings. The NEW Smackdown Toe Strap allows you to set your size, lock down to ride or easily flip up to release. This saves you time and just makes sense if you are urban rider or jibber.
So hit those rails, fences, benches, trees, walls, highway overpasses, whatever you damn well please with the Burton Bootlegger Bindings….mailboxes, cars, large animals, your younger brother…the list is endless. “This binding is straight up jibtastic!”
