Team Update: Eric Pollard Interview From evo’s Winter Catalog

Eric Pollard, evo, evo team, eric pollard interview, eric pollard interview

evo team rider, Eric Pollard was kind enough to sit down for an interview in our first ever WINTER CATALOG.

At evo, we love it when skiing, snowboarding, art, and music come together. We believe in a blend of function and style in our product. We embrace new technology and believe in old traditions. It doesn’t matter if you ski 100 days a year or two—we care about having fun and expressing yourself on the mountain. Eric Pollard—an evo team member since the beginning—embodies our values. He is an artist, an athlete, a filmmaker, a product designer, and a genuinely nice guy. He inspires people, welcomes them into the sport, and challenges them to push their own boundaries. We believe in Eric Pollard. These are his words.

Check out the interview and his painting below. If you are interested in picking up a print of his master piece, evo Calm Before The Storm (pictured above) we have it on sale exclusively at evo.

Here is what he had to say:

Vanessa Aadland Summer Recap

Not sure how much you have been paying attention to our blog and our team over the summer, but if we were having a quiz, a couple questions would be:

1) Who is the most ripping-est female skier on the evo team?

2) Where is the ultimate Southern Hemisphereic training ground?

If you answered Vanessa Aadland and New Zealand you were correct. Check out her summary of her trip this summer and learn that along with the high’s, there are also some low’s, but you learn to take them in stride. Read more to make sense of what we are talking about.

Team Update: Jamie Baril and Erik Stai’s Family Vacation

Being a kid during summer break was the best! No school, no homework…nothing to do but to hang out with your friends and have fun. A couple of our evo ski team riders, Jamie Baril and Erik Stai, know how to have fun over the summer. They and their friends put together this video chronicling the last two weeks of their summer vacation which include a trip to Timberline, BBQ’ing, camping, and bridge jumping. Video by Abe Krieger. Team Update: Bryce Phillips SA Adventure

We are not quite sure if this falls under a Team Update, a Travel Tips From Real Travelers, or something else we can’t classify yet, but evo founder and K2 Team rider Bryce Phillips just got back from a near month-long trip to Chile and Peru to ski, surf and kiteboard. Needless to say we are pretty jealous of anyone getting pow turns in August, especially if they work in the same office as us. Check out a recap from Bryce’s trip, get some tips for your future trip to South America, and drool over some photos of untracked lines.
