Seattle, Washington – This last weekend evo had the privilege of partnering with the Seafair and the “Hyperlite Experience” and we hope you got a chance to get down there to check it out, such a cool event! The Hyperlite Team rolled deep with Shaun Murray, JD Webb, Jimmy LaRiche and Jacob Valdez and Rusty Malinoski leading the charge. Legion Team Riders Clayton Underwood and Trever Maur were also be in attendance at this year’s Hyperlite Experience.

This season in the South Turn of the course, ERC will set up their Infinity 2T cable system to pull Hyperlite Team Riders back and forth through the Hyperlite Wake Park on Lake Washington. Friday night, after the first day of the Pro Wake Tour, wake movie aficionados traveled down to evo Seattle for the premier of CWB Board Co.‘s new team film “Committed“. Having CWB in our own backyard and having the PWT going on at the same time meant there were some heavy hitters in the room from the CWB team including Andrew Adkinson and Zane Schwenk -allow us a second to pick up those names we just dropped…

Last weekend the Pro Wakeboard Tour visited Washington for the first time since 1995, and after a first day of cloudy, typical NW weather, we showed by the second day why summer in the NW is so awesome. Pro wakeboarders from all around the country traveled to Tye Lake in Monroe, WA to compete in this leg of the tour. The talent on hand was amazing to watch as the guys and gals spun, flipped, and slid all over the place. People came out in droves on Saturday to watch the action, soak up the sun, and grab as much free swag and energy drinks as they could.

Join us this weekend July 8th and 9th for the Pro Wakeboard Tour at Tye Lake in Monroe. We’ll be hanging in the sun all day enjoying the view so come say hi!
The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is the largest and most storied professional wakeboarding circuit in the world. Since it’s inception in 1992, the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour has attracted the sport’s most talented athletes every year to compete in the series points race for the Pro Tour title and will be at Lake Tye in Monroe, Washington on July 8th & 9th!
Athletes compete during the course of a season to be named Pro Tour champion based on a cumulative point system. Points are awarded to each athlete based on final placement at each stop. The highest total points-earner at the end of the season is crowned the winner.
The Pro Tour now qualifies roughly 80 athletes within three divisions (Pro Men, Pro Women and Jr. Pro Men) throughout the five-stop season. In 2011, The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour will visit Acworth, GA; Fort Worth, TX; Colorado Spring, CO; Monroe, WA; and Knoxville, TN.

Summer Dreaming Staff Picks- comin’ at ya! Working at evo is like working at a chocolate factory: you are around chocolate all day, it’s just begging to be sampled (by you), you don’t really NEED to eat chocolate all day, but you would if you could. If our products were made out of chocolate we would all be in trouble, luckily they aren’t. But being around new gear all the time is as tempting as smelling delicious chocolate all the time.
