Burton Axel Boots
Ladies are often the most particular about their comfort level on the mountain. Hate to dive into stereotypes, but honestly at the first sign of pain, chill or wetness, most ladies are ready to bail into the lodge for some hot toddies. Thankfully those inklings of wimpiness that give lady shredders bad reps can be tossed with a hearty dose of Burton Axel Boots underfoot.
All about comfort here’s the standout tech from the Axel Boots:

Burton Tyro Boot
What’s a sport without a little competition? For 2013 Burton introduces the Tyro Boot featuring the NEW Speed Dial Lacing System. That’s right lace-twisters and BOA lovers, you can now dial up with the comfort and security with Burton boot construction underfoot. Not just a mimic of BOA, the Speed Dial System is always fully engaged, no more locking and unlocking to crank or loosen your fit. And exiting the boot is as easy as pulling the dial-top loop (marked “pull” and “exit” in the picture, yes these boots are dummy proof!).
Here are the highlights of the Tyro Boots’ innards: Read the rest of this entry »

Burton SLX Boots
Four words: passion, perfection, SLX, Terje. The Burton SLX Boots are home to the feet of the six-time winner of the Legendary Baker Banked Slalom, Terje Haakonsen. Terje’s been ripping for going on 30 years and still kills it with features in Transworld and movie parts all over the world. And as if Terje’s endorsement of the SLX Boots weren’t enough, the SLX Boots are backed by many happy evo customers: we sold out of the SLX Boots in 2012 well before La Nina’s Snowmaggedan even hit. The Burton SLX Boots are known for their amazing support, fit, superior materials and construction; but here’s why we are stoked on the Burton SLX Boots for 2013:

She also rules our photo and copy interns with an iron fist…requiring constant coffee and gummy bear delivery for her. The most common question she is asked starts with “Hey Carly, can you shoot (fill in the blank).” Or “Hey Carly, can you film (fill in the blank).” Carly is also the only person in the world that is ok with flying from Denver to Seattle via Dallas.
Here are her picks! Read the rest of this entry »
