Bonfire Snowboarding 14th Annual Pipe to Pipe at Mt Hood
The Bonfire Pipe to Pipe is a gathering. On July 10th, a global community of riders drawn to the summer snowboarding Mecca of Mt. Hood will congregate at Windells Camp to partake in the fun-filled festivities of the world’s longest running summer snowboard and skateboard event, the Bonfire Pipe to Pipe.
The event is free and open to the public, with purchase of a lift ticket for the snow event.
The gathering begins on the Palmer snowfield with a jam style snowboard competition in the exclusive set up built for the event at Windells, complete with free BBQ, free prizes and a chance to ride with the best up and coming riders in the world. Pros compete for cash, Ams for prizes.
Past participants include Jed Anderson, Nick Dirks, Scott Stevens, Ted Borland, Chad Otterstrom, Leanne Pelosi, Desiree Melancon, Chris Grenier, Zac Marben, Hana Beaman, Scotty Arnold, Austin Hironaka and many more.
When the chairlift shuts down, the festivities move to Windells world-class skate facilities in Welches, Oregon. Skaters from throughout the Pacific Northwest will gather in the early evening to skate the cement park at Windells with a fervor and intensity that surpasses anything of its kind.
Attending skaters in the past have included Silas Baxter-Neil, Steven “Manchild” Reeves, Rion Linderman, Willis Kimbel, Mason Merlino and many more.
Registration will be available on a first come, first served basis.
