Atomic Bent Chetler Skis & Mini Bent Chetler Skis 2013 Sneak Peek
The Bent Chetler has been my ski of choice the past two seasons and pro model for evo sponsored rider Chris Benchetler. I am excited for the newly updated model for 2012/13. It’s got an updated topsheet full of fjords and Viking lore, sleds and helis accessing the sharp, jagged peaks and also returns with possibly the best tie dye base to date. But where the Bent Chethler really had its changes made is under the hood. Chris wanted to add a bit more pop in his ski, so like Automatic, the Chetler receives Sprocket Power Boosters, only with carbon instead of metal. These carbon stringers start around the toe and heel of the binding and extend out towards the contact points in the tip and tail of the ski to add spring, snap and playfulness, not to dampen and stiffen the ski like the Automatic.
Also new, the Mini Bent Chetler, 90mm waisted junior ski featuring the same graphics both top and base as the adult Bent Chetler. The Mini features rocker both tip and tail along with an extruded base to help cut down on cost and maintenance. Honestly who doesn’t like to see a little grom rip?
