Seattle, WA: The land of the rising sun, but most notably becoming the land of endless snowfall – this is Japan. I’m sure many of you have had a destination pin on this island for sometime – tracking its storms and following along on your social media feeds and patiently awaiting for your time to travel. Well, here’s another blast of powder shots for you to drool over.
Shannon Skouras traveled to Japan last winter to photograph Andy Mahre, Karl Fostvedt and Anna Segal with Hemlock Creative in some of Japan’s most powderfilled zones and the imagery is guaranteed to have you itching for a ski trip to Japan. Huge mountains with spines and shoots reminiscent of Alaska surrounded us as we made our way up the ridge toward the zone that we wanted to hit.
