December 27, 2012: Mike Grasso at Transworld may have said it best, “Drake was snowboarding.” Over the weekend we learned one of our crew members, Drake Edwards, passed away in a car accident near Mt. Hood on Oregon.
We wanted to share with you a little bit about Drake’s passion and spirit. Drake has been with evo shredding it in our snowboard department for the past few months while attending school at SPU. He brightened up everyone’s day – customers and fellow evo crew – with his positive vibes and infectious smile. We miss him.
During the summers, Drake was also a counselor at High Cascade Snowboard Camp, and insisted on not cutting his hair to embrace his Norwegian heritage. Although he was only 20, he lived life to the fullest. His love for family, friends, snowboarding and everyone he came in contact with was incredible and contagious. Next time you are out on hill or out skateboarding, give a shred for Drake.
In remembrance of Drake, his friends have made this T-shirt.
