NITRO SNOWBOARDS’ BOOM!
Austin Smith and the rest of the Nitro team join together for Good Times in Nitro’s 4th team movie in as many years. BOOM! aims to capture the real side of snowboarding – the fun side. We have all seen the Nitro rider parts that blow your minds, but we wanted to capture the reason everyone snowboards no matter how talented you are, we all do it for the same reason – good times! The team has traveled across five continents together on some un-forgivable adventures full of parks, street rails, pow, pipes, kinks, nordic islands, rocky mountains, snowmobiling, split boarding, back lips, flat ground flips, quadcorks, slams, and a lot of laughs!
SNOWBOARDER MAG’S RESOLUTION
In literary terms, RESOLUTION is the act of finding closure to the elements that have driven the narrative up to that point. Within the visual realm, RESOLUTION refers to the sharpness of an image, while the most ubiquitous use of RESOLUTION is in the context of achieving one’s own ambitious goals. For the 2015/2016 winter, SNOWBOARDER brought together the most inspiring list of past, present and future icons to appear on a single snowboard film marquee in recent memory. Regardless of affinity, age, experience, style or skill, every rider comes into a new season with the desire to enrich their own snowboarding canon.
TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING’S INSIGHT
TransWorld SNOWboarding is proud to announce its sixth feature film, Insight. Our aim is to shed a little light on the riders in this project, not only because of their immense skills on a board, but also because they each have a unique story to tell.
Bode Merrill is an enigma. He has, completely genuinely and without any ulterior motives, become one of the most respected and influential snowboarders alive by doing exactly what makes him happy, spending winter careening from backcountry piste to city street and, regardless of the type of terrain, putting down tricks that not only impress, but usually blow minds. While Bode possesses uncanny air awareness, calculated board control, and drops into spots that are fully consequential, this man is flying by the seat of his pants. And despite all this, while putting himself in the most physically demanding situations, Bode never takes himself too seriously.
THINK THANK’S THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS WEATHER
What are you going to do with your year, winter, day, run or off that side hit? Hopefully not waste it wondering what could have been. Over here at Think Thank we say occupy your moments! The Weather Outside is Weather no matter what you do, so you might as well enjoy it. Speculation be damned! Analysis paralysis be gone! The earth spins, the wind howls, the snow falls and about all one can do, aside from cowering in the flickering phone light, is to grab the crew and go ride. Whatever time, temp, odds, odd ball or obstacle is in front of us our crew is assembled and spiraling off in to the inner space of mini shred and the open abyss of mega rad. From Alaska to Amsterdam, Snoqualmie to Sochi no patch will be left un-worked.
